SYNOPSIS
The name of the project "Sharashka", originally referred to secret research laboratories, active within the Gulag camp. This Video art suggests an alternative ‘laboratory’ to review a historical past in reference to the present day.

BIOGRAPHY
Meir Tati - based in Tel Aviv is an artist and the Head of Community and Education Department at Moby- Museums of Bat Yam, Israel. He hold a MFA from c Sandberg institute as a part of the School of Missing Studies program. He has shown his work extensively in Israel at venues, such as, The Israeli Center for Digital Art, Kav 16 Gallery, The Israel Museum, The Tel Aviv Museum’ Gutman Museum, CCA Tel Aviv and more. He has also exhibited internationally at the CCA Andratx Art Center, Mallorca, Rohad Contemporary, Copenhagen, Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, Tokyo, Japan, FADO Performance Art Center, Toronto, Canada, Moscow International Biennale for Young Art, Moscow, Russia, Istanbul Biennial, Turkey and more.
